The maps in this collection are based on material from various sources. Some were originally scanned from handmade comparison maps we had available. Most, however, were constructed from digital maps downloaded from locations on the Internet, which were then scaled to the correct size and superimposed using computer graphics software.
Israel is portrayed including all areas under its jurisdiction; that is, including the West Bank, Gaza and the Golan Heights. The Sea of Galilee (which is part of Israel) and the Dead Sea (split between Israel and Jordan) have also been included.
Though we have done our best to ensure accuracy, perfection is not possible for several reasons. Maps of large regions, for example, may be drawn in different ways using different projections of the globe. The curvature of the globe can also make it difficult to judge the size of a region accurately. Finally, some countries are parties to unresolved border disputes. If you believe one of the maps in the collection is significantly inaccurate, please let us know and we will investigate.
